CyberSchool Entrepreneuriat Gabon

In the service of young african businessmen

Entrepreneurship has always been part of the EISTI's DNA. EISTI graduates create 3 to 4 enterprises each year, among them « Cyberchool Entrepreneuriat ». This idea took shape in Simplice Mve Assako’s mind in 2010 while he was studying in the EISTI. During his last year of study he completed his project and took advantage of the EISTI entrepreneurship support. Once graduated as a computer engineer in 2012, the adventure continues stimulated through great supports : he becomed the laureate of the Africa Business Creator Contest and finalist of the GSVC-ESSEC Contest.

So, what about « Cyberchool Entrepreneuriat » ? A specific support is needed because 80% of the companies founded by young gabonese citizens close after two years. Cyberschool offers an original concept of a business incubator mixed with a training school for young gabonese businessmen, especially around new technologies. The first Cyberschool center opened in Libreville in 2014. The official opening took place on 13 june 2015 in the presence of numerous personalities.

At the present time, Cyberschool can be proud of his records : 500 people trained, about 20 companies hosted , 30 entrepreneurship supports and a 20 employees-team. The opening of a second center is already envisaged. A great success for such a young company ! Simplice explains : “In our cyberschool, young gabonese company founders work together, encourage one another and support each other. They benefit also from training, professional methods, tools, materials and premises we bring them.” The EISTI assisted and helped the young company development, especially with technical support to build the start-up necessary infrastructure (physical and technical architecture, hosting, WLAN, network cabling).

Didier Rousseau, the EISTI’s Director of Organization and Information System, who accompanied and visited Cyberschool explains : “The EISTI provided some training resources : creation of websites, data base… Beyond this project, EISTI is very interested and involved in Africa. For example we provide a training program inTunisia. Our tunisian Partner Université SESAME is offering our ERP Management Specialised Master on its campus. So It seemed obvious to accompany Cyberschool in Gabon, especially a company founded by a Computer Engineering graduate of the EISTI !”.
